We’re thrilled to welcome Lili Taylor as a keynote speaker at the 2018 American Birding Expo on Saturday, September 22, 6 – 8 pm. Lili has discovered that the tools she uses as an actor (looking, listening, focusing, describing, and empathy) are also useful when she’s outdoors birding. In her keynote presentation, Outside In: Birds Through the Eyes of an Actor, she will share with us how she came to this realization, what it’s like to be so passionate about two seemingly different things, and she’ll tell some stories of birding experiences she’s had during her successful acting career.
Lili Taylor is a stage and screen actress who has appeared in such films as Mystic Pizza, I Shot Andy Warhol, and The Conjuring. On the small screen she appeared in American Crime as well as HBO’s Six Feet Under both of which garnered her Emmy nominations. She’s currently filming a new Netflix series called Chambers. She proudly serves on the board of the American Birding Association and the National Audubon Society.

I think one of her best roles was as John Cusack’s high school friend in “Say Anything.”
